ARREST BULLDOG DRUMMOND (DVD MOVIE): In a dark section of London, an eccentric scientist has created a powerful death ray whose light beams can destroy an entire army in a matter of seconds. His purpose is to use this incredible power for good, but his unscrupulous associate Rolf Alferson has other ideas. Alferson murders the scientist by utilizing a deadly poison and plans to sell the ray gun to the highest bidder. The Bulldog Drummond character was a pivotal career choice for actor John Howard. Having gained fame for his performance beside Ronald Coleman in 1937 foots Lost Horizon, Drummond was for Howard what Sherlock Holmes and The Falcon were for Basil Rathbone and Tom Conway. Arrest Bulldog Drummond contains more sci-fi elements than usual in films of this nature and also features veteran horror movie star George Zucco (The Mummy s Hand, Voodoo Man, The Flying Serpent).
